The final internship is a culminating clinical experience that has significant influence on teacher candidates’ future educational endeavors. A key facet of the internship experience is the cultivation of a mentor-intern relationship that engages in mentoring interactions. This study explores how four mentor-intern pairs created a personalized “repertoire of mentoring moves” (Schwille, 2008) that encompassed co-teaching, co-planning, collaborative reflection, coaching, and feedback. In this session I illustrate how each pair’s mentoring interactions were influenced by their unique relationships that were dependent upon individual experiences, beliefs, personalities, identities, and school contexts.
