Abstract

This paper examines the impact of an all-women living learning community (LLC) on female students’ graduation rates and college GPA’s. Using propensity score matching, we created a quasi-experimental study that found that while participation in the LLC did not boost the overall graduation rates in STEM, it did have a significant positive impact on the graduation rate in the fields in which women have not yet gained parity: physical sciences, engineering, mathematics, and computer sciences.
