Abstract

This retrospective case study was initiated by the two university researchers from different colleges in an ongoing search for ways to improve our work and document the journey and the iterative cycles of improvement in the implementation Lesson Study. Through multiple case studies, we examined the unique affordances of Lesson Study in specific professional development initiatives and how the cycles within Lesson Study contributed to the goal of improving teacher knowledge, beliefs and practices.
