The present study aimed to examine to what extent there is a significant difference in self-efficacy and motivation in graduate college students, based on age and gender, as related to online learning. Participants were 280 online graduate college students. Participants completed the Online Technology Self-efficacy Scale (OTSES) and the Intrinsic Motivation Inventory (IMI). Kruskal-Wallis tests showed that there was a significant difference in; self-efficacy and gender groups, χ2 (1) = 6.612, p =.010; motivation and age groups, χ2 (1) = 4.107, p =.043; and motivation and gender groups, χ2 (1) = 7.550, p =.006. Further research is needed to create an updated self-efficacy instrument in this area.
