The purpose of this study was to examine teacher behaviors related to the eight essentials of an A+ Schools Model after Year 3 of implementation. Twenty-three randomly selected teachers from three A+ school sites were observed over a three-year period. Descriptive statistics showed a continuous growth in the use of A+ Essentials during the three-year period. A repeated measures ANOVA assessed changes in teachers’ A+ instructional strategies and resulted in a significant increase over the course of seven time periods. Post hoc analysis with a Bonferroni adjustment revealed that instructional behaviors significantly increased during Spring 2016 (Time 5). The results of this study support the need for intensive professional development in A+ instructional strategies.
