Understanding Education Savings Accounts in K–12 Education: An Integrative Review of Literature

Abstract

Education savings accounts (ESA) have recently gained momentum within various state legislative bodies. Currently, Arizona, Florida, Mississippi, Nevada, and Tennessee have implemented ESAs and North Carolina will do the same during the 2018-2019 school year. Unfortunately, there is very little research on the subject. This paper is an integrative review of the literature on this new school choice model.
