Abstract

The Student Agency Improvement Community brought together six diverse networks to accelerate progress towards improving student agency in many diverse contexts. A knowledge management system was created to assist these networks in aggregating, organizing, and using evidence within and across networks. By creating a common taxonomy and measurement system, the 532 teachers at 98 different schools in our community had a shared language and could learn from each other’s successes and failures. Through the translational research process, our network members learned how to adapt and integrate research with integrity and our collective learning results in eight, widely tested change ideas that promote student agency.
