One of the questions this research aims to explore is how ableism is produced and reproduced in the transition experience of young people with disabilities within their Korean-American culture. This study describes how Korean-American elitism and disableism are promoted together as a series of ableism reinforcements during the transition to adulthood. In particular, it presents examples of the meeting of young Korean-American people with and without disabilities as part of a process of acquiring an elite status in their career paths.
