Abstract

This poster explores how lesson study can spark teacher learning. By encouraging teachers to investigate student thinking, lesson study shifts the focus of teachers’ mindsets from constraints to change to licenses to experiment and innovate. A case study demonstrates this complex shift using video and written artifacts from a lesson study cycle. Discussions will center on how to support this mindset shift for teachers.
