Session Type: Symposium
Although the research base on bullying has grown exponentially over the last ten years, prevention and intervention programs have met with limited success (Ttofi & Farrington, 2011). In relation to sexual violence among adolescents and young adults, research progress has been relatively slow and fewer programs have been evaluated for sexual violence in comparison to bullying prevention. This paper symposium is an attempt to review the extant literature on bullying and sexual violence in order to establish future research agendas.
Taken together, this paper symposium represents a comprehensive examination of bullying and sexual violence among adolescents in community and schools. Each paper will provide excellent discussions about how best to prevent these phenomena and to intervene when victims are identified.
