Session Type: Structured Poster Session
In this structured poster session, eleven qualitative literacies researchers share playstories from across PK-16 setting in two countries. Together, these papers make clear the possibilities and necessity of a #playrevolution in and across public (school) contexts, particularly because presenters understand play as a tool for moving towards educational justice. Findings from across the posters highlight how children, youth, prospective teachers, and researchers can leverage play to open new possibilities in literacy research and practice. In turn, participants will be engaged in playstories themselves as they participate in the an interactive “playground” between two sets of playstories.
