Session Type: Structured Poster Session
The National Science Foundation’s (NSF’s) Discovery Research PreK-12 program (DRK-12) invests in research and development of innovations and approaches to improve STEM teaching, learning, and assessment. Through a rigorous merit review process, NSF awards projects that are deemed to have the greatest potential to align with the NSF’s mission to advance knowledge and contribute to society. This structured poster session sheds light on the DRK-12 portfolio of research on online and blended teacher professional development (PD). Featured projects are developing, implementing, and/or studying innovative resources, models, and technologies to support teacher learning in virtual environments; exploring the affordances and challenges associated with specific online and blended approaches; and examining their impacts on teacher practice and student learning.
