Session Type: Invited Speaker Session
This invited session will provide in-depth analyses of how male teachers of color are positioned, socialized and supported in diverse and international contexts. The objectives are to examine the lived complexities subsumed under the umbrella of “male teachers of color,” and to place research on distinct groups of non-white male teachers into conversation with each another. The researchers will provide critical, cutting edge research to aid education stakeholders in improving the recruitment, training, ongoing support, and retention of male teachers of color.
