Abstract

The business meeting will feature a panel discussion about special journal issues focused on mixed methods research. The invited panelists will include editors who have recently conceptualized and led the development of a special issue on mixed methods research. Editors will introduce their chosen journal, describe their motivation for initiating the special issue, and discuss their process for requesting proposals and finalizing the included articles. The panel will conclude with a discussion about the role of special issues for advancing mixed methods research within disciplinary communities and advice for those interested in proposing a special issue or submitting their mixed methods work for consideration in a special issue. We welcome all those interested in learning more about mixed methods research!
