This study explores the impact of an early mathematics intervention on the home numeracy environment. Participants (N = 23) ranged in age from 3-5 years old at the start of the study, and families were given weekly activities to complete over the course of the intervention. The parents were surveyed about the home numeracy environment and their expectations for their child before and after the intervention, and the child’s mathematical understanding were assessed during this time as well. Results show an increase in parental expectations over the course of the study, as well as a marginal improvement in the child’s mathematical understanding. Limitations and implications for future research will be discussed.
