This study identified performance profiles for online research and comprehension (ORC) and examined how a wide range of students (n=449; 12–13 years; with and without learning difficulties) were represented in various performance levels. Reading fluency as well as teacher-rated attention and executive function (EF) scores were used to form learner groups: dysfluent readers; students with attention and EF difficulties; students with comorbidity; and regular learners. ORC performance was measured with a validated assessment. Seven performance profiles were identified. Students with learning difficulties were more likely to belong to the lower performance profiles, and all top performers were regular learners. However, 23.1% of dysfluent readers and 16.7% of students with attention and EF difficulties performed at average or good levels.
