Mon, April 8, 12:20 to 1:50pm, Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Floor: 800 Level, Hall G

Abstract

Harassment, intimidation, bullying and teasing (HIBT) is a major international problem. This paper details a twenty-year collaboration among professors, novice researchers, school administrators, teachers and tolerance center staff in the U.S.A. with their counterparts in Indonesia to support the development and implementation of an anti-bullying program designed to foster the peaceful classroom. This multi-faceted anti-HIBT program has been proven successful in two countries in multiple diverse venues for grades pre-school through high school, in three languages, with a variety of government standards and a plethora of curricula.
