This paper suggests a resacralization of educational research to provide a new grammar in the post truth era. Using queer and feminist theological interventions, particularly Althaus-Reid’s (2000) Indecent Theology, the work argues that research in the social sciences can productively engage in different discourses through theological lenses to differently engage epistemological, ontological, and methodological questions in education in particular. Turning to research in secularisms, the work pushes for a different orientation to theology as an educational theory that remains especially viable amidst the posts.
