This study explores the English-only policy and its implications for literacy and education of English language learners (ELLs) and children of minority and Indigenous communities, through the perspectives of teacher candidates, and faculty members of a Southwest US university. The results show the English-only policy has some serious repercussions for the literacy education of minority and indigenous children.
