In this paper, I read Foucault’s work on State racism against contemporary issues surrounding transgender children. I focus on the discourse of “the transgender bathroom wars,” to unpack the bio-disciplinary mechanisms that surround the politics of "protecting trans youth," as a social and political response to Trumps’ administration choice to rescinded protections for transgender students. Moreover, I discuss the medical and socio-cultural figure of the trans child to highlight the biopolitical mechanisms that 1- fragment the biological field and 2-create a new normative transgender child against the abnormal gender-expansive other.
