This article presents the implications evidenced by participating mentors of a Hybrid Mentoring Program (HMP) aimed at assisting novice teachers, conducted by a group of researchers from a Brazilian public university. The data were collected through interviews with the 14 experienced teachers who acted as mentors, after 4-8 months of interaction with the novice teachers. As a result of their participation, the mentors point out aspects/characteristics of HMP in general, their development, the interactions between novice mentor-teachers and manners to face the difficulties faced. The consequences of these results for the training of mentors and the development of mentoring programs are discussed, focusing on some strategies that have proved to potentialize professional learning for experienced teachers by acting as mentors.
