Abstract

As digital practices impact on social and learning relationships, contemporary teachers are continually challenged to knowingly respond to the ways the digital is interwoven through and impacts on their students’ lives. This paper draws on evidence from a project in which literacy teachers from Australian schools collaboratively researched their students’ uses of digital media out of school. This paper investigates teachers’ research into students’ actual use of digital technologies in their everyday lives, the insights gained and pedagogical responses to findings, using the concept of curation to reconsider students’ writing contexts.
