The contribution of a combined teacher-counselor role towards improving students' willingness to seek help for bullying at school was studied. Using a field experimental design, the study comprised of 152 paired samples (124 boys and 180 girls) of high school students (mean age 15.75 years, SD = 0.67 years). For half of them, the school counselor served as both counselor and teacher, while for the other half, the same school counselor did not serve as a teacher. The findings show that when counselors serve as teachers and form positive relationships with students, the odds that students will seek help from them increase significantly.
