Mentoring, Imposter Syndrome, and Leader Identity of Minority Women in Higher Education: A Developmental Network Perspective

Sat, April 6, 8:00 to 10:00am, Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Floor: 800 Level, Room 809

Abstract

Minority women remain unrepresented in leadership positions, especially in higher education. In the spirit of the AERA 2019 conference theme’s focus on “post-truth politics and the exacerbation of racial, class, and gender inequality in education policy and practice in higher education”, this paper attempts to integrate various literature streams to proffer a developmental network perspective on minority women’s leader identity development in higher education.
