A study of preservice teachers’ (PSTs) ability to reflect utilizing videos of their teaching was conducted during the 2017-2018 academic year. The population consisted of 62 students participating in Field Studies courses as part of their undergraduate program at a private college in Florida. During the sixteen-week course, preservice teachers videotaped one lesson they taught and completed a form reflecting on their lesson. In order to learn how preservice teachers reflected-on-action, based on predetermined classroom teaching attributes during Field Studies experiences, the researchers examined PSTs’ video self-reflections. Findings address PSTs’ Reflection over Time, Documenting Improvement Needed, and Misconceptions Regarding Attributes.
