Abstract

In this self-study, I explored my own becoming as a feminist educator. While I taught a ten-week undergraduate music course, I collected data from research journals, class sessions, dialogues with a critical friend, and student feedback. This study served to both illuminate and improve my pedagogical practice as a newly-conscious feminist educator. I experienced both epistemological and ontological shifts in my pedagogy as I re-imagined, through a feminist lens, knowledge, knowing, relationship, and community in my classroom.
