This author provides brief commentary regarding how the Black radical imagination is integral to reimagining space and place through deliberate questioning about the purposes and functions of “school” and “college.” In particular, author uses critical studies, political science, and African American studies lenses to share what can be learned from those who have fought for spaces that liberate and educate, drawing from prison abolition movements.
