District and University Partnerships: Steps for Teacher Improvement in a Low-Performing Elementary School

Sat, April 6, 2:15 to 3:45pm, Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Floor: 200 Level, Room 201C

Abstract

This study was developed through an instrumental case study of one school district and one land-grant University collaborating with one in south central Texas. The purpose of this study was to identify the strengths and challenges that emerged from the first year of the district and university partnership with a focus on improving a low-performing school. The university was invited to respond to a call to action, and supported one IR campus to provide knowledge and resources for organizational improvement and teacher retention.
