Abstract

The Center for Arts Education’s (CAE) mission is to ensure that all New York City public school students receive quality arts instruction as part of their pre-K-12 education. The organization seeks funding to support school and community programs, professional development, parent engagement, and advocacy. CAE offers a comprehensive platform that includes model programs in all arts disciplines, professional research, and policy recommendations that inform the conversation about arts education at every level. CAE initiatives and partnership programs address learning in and after school. In its commentary paper and participation, CAE will bring expertise in developing and expanding programs seeking to broaden and sustain participation options.
