As settler descendents teaching in Treaty 7, the theme of our collaboration is to unsettle, explore, and renew our relationships with the Land. Through our experiences of moving with, and being moved by, Nose Hill Park, we examine our relationality with self, each other, our students, and our more-than-human co-inhabitants. Through this process, we are finding new ways of articulating our stories with place that allow us to engage with the Land in ways that re-story our relationships. Our paper points to the importance of building and maintaining ethical and meaningful relations with communities, offers possibilities for positioning ourselves differently in relation to place, and expands how we might generate knowledge and knowing in ways that honour the more-than-human.
