Fri, April 5, 2:25 to 3:55pm, Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Floor: 800 Level, Hall F

Abstract

Based on the interpersonal atmosphere/management atmosphere, psychological capital and teacher performance scales, this study used 443 teachers from 12 provinces nationwide to investigate the relationship between interpersonal/management atmosphere and teacher performance. The results show that the interpersonal and management atmosphere of the school are positively predicting teacher performance; psychological capital has a partial mediator effect between the interpersonal atmosphere and teacher performance, and has a wholly mediator effect between the management atmosphere and teacher performance. This study has shown that improving the school's management system to improve teachers' psychological capital, and improving interpersonal relationships between colleagues, teachers and leaders, and allowing teachers to actively participate in school affairs can improve teacher performance.
