Triple-Helix (TH) is a research and development model (R&D) that describes social relationships and interactions between individuals based on collaborations, by presenting them as three coils that simulate a DNA molecule. The “Helix” expresses an interactive, parallel, autonomous movement, yet represent shared, collaborative relationship. The Third Space (TS) is a physical or metaphorical hybrid space, creating an egalitarian, non-hierarchical partnership. It serves as a bridge between social and organizational identities. If so, universities teacher education programs (UTEP) serve as TS and as possible bridge across the gap between theory and practice, researchers and practitioners. The research aims to better achieve UTEP TS potential by offering theoretical synthesis between TS theory and TH model.
