Despite the recent growth of literature on multiracial college students, it is limited by its focus on students at Historically White Institutions (HWIs). We know very little about multiracial student experiences at Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs). This case study uses focus groups, individual interviews, and photo elicitation to explore the experiences of eight multiracial students attending two Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs) in Chicago, Illinois. Preliminary findings suggest multiracial students feel included and contribute to diversity at their institutions, which is in contrast to the literature focused on exclusionary experiences (e.g., microaggressions) of multiracial students at HWIs.
