Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze studies which include “Engineering Design Process” by using meta-synthesis method and to present the type of tendency and differences in the current literature. Selected 24 research articles were analyzed. Results show that researchers mostly use open-ended questions and problem scenarios while presenting the engineering design problem; and use different teaching methods while utilizing engineering design process. In light of the current literature, efficient engineering design driving has been developed. It is believed that this research will guide subsequent researchers and science teachers in planning and implementing engineering design process in K-12 classrooms.
