Abstract

In this paper we discuss different ethical issues in our collaborative supervision. The focus is on challenges of supporting master students working on their theses and to uncover and display ethical issues as we perform a self-study of our educational practice. The purpose of the study was to experience the empowerment of academic knowledge, eliciting students’ voices, and power dynamics. The aim was to identify and analyze ethical considerations we have identified and the potential of using them to develop our work further. Emphasis is on different issues related to our self-study and the ethical demands. In telling stories emerging from our data, we share that teaching and supervising are ethical practices and interwoven into the complexity of professional development.
