Expansion Challenges of Mixed Methods in the International Community

Abstract

The authors of this study reviewed the published articles on four major mixed methods journals in the recent 10 years and summarized what disciplines and countries has adopted this methodology. By reviewing the published articles, the authors also found that adoption challenges have been discussed when authors in the international community (including developing countries) used mixed methods. The authors discussed these challenges and provided recommendations for researchers especially those who are from developing countries to use this methodology.
This paper contributes to the development of mixed methods by summarizing its adoption status around the world and discussing the solutions to its challenges of expansion. This paper benefits to the formation of international communicate of mixed methods research.
