Abstract

This study explores early career graduate teachers (ECT) implementation of Environmental Education for Sustainability in Australian primary and early childhood settings. ECT's alongwith 3 academics and 2 community partners work together to form a Community of Practice (CoP). The aim of the study is to understand how ECT's navigate their new professional roles while simultaneously negotiating their identities as teachers. Findings point to numerous enablers and barriers that influence ECT's practices including the crucial need for strong leadership support.
