Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to place a cautionary pause on the rush to move to a post-qualitative stance in the field of qualitative inquiry. In this paper, we want suggest that more research could be done with philosophers who function as foundational for the post-qualitative movement in qualitative inquiry. In addition, we wonder how the field might benefit from diffused, multiply co-existent practices, orientations, conceptualizations, and ‘methodological’ connections between these authors ideas and the post-qualitative epistemologies. For much can still be learned from critical scholars before the field should consider entirely moving toward materialist, post-human and more-than-human inquiries.
