Abstract

This research uses the Baccalaureate and Beyond Longitudinal Survey (B&B:08/12) and a two-stage least square analysis with instrumental variables to examine whether loan debt influenced students who graduated during the 2009 recession personal decisions including marriage, family formation, home ownership, retirement benefits, and civic engagement.
