Veterans Going to Graduate School: Evaluating the Impact of the Post-9/11 G.I. Bill on Graduate School Enrollment

Abstract

Using ACS and CPS data and difference-in-difference technique, the proposed project aims at evaluating the overall impact of the Post-9/11 GI Bill on graduate and professional school attendance among veterans, as well as its potentially heterogeneous impact across veteran groups of different age, gender, race/ethnicity, and disability ratings. It addresses a critical question in the intersection of the commitment to improve veterans’ educational attainment and the increasing importance of graduate and professional education.
