This manuscript contributes to existing literature seeking to explore how to successfully support Students of Color pursuing STEM degrees through culturally responsive approaches that recognize and cultivate the cultural capital that Students of Color possess. In particular, this qualitative study explores the development of academic family (Castellanos & Gloria, 2007) amongst 20 Students of Color pursuing STEM degrees at four Northeastern universities.
