Abstract

The present work contemplates an investigation arose from the contradictions that define the advisory of aMaxakali Indigenous undergraduate student developing his graduation research. The aim was to understand the student’s way of doing research and develop methodological tools to promote a coexistence between hegemonic research practices and other modalities of Maxakali practices. Thus, the work was structured collectively, stimulated by a concrete production of other forms of “being together”. An ethnographic approach was adopted, grounding the analysis on the cultural-historical activity theory perspective . As a result, a methodological toolbox was developed that made it possible to compose a multimodal narrative structured by videos, photos, drawings, songs and texts that coexist in a harmonious and complementary way.
