Teachers of Spanish and Technology: A Case-Oriented Merged Analysis in a Mixed-Methods Case Study

Mon, April 8, 8:00 to 9:30am, Fairmont Royal York Hotel, Floor: Mezzanine Level, Confederation 3

Abstract

Case-oriented merged analysis is one of the procedures used to conduct mixed methods data analysis. However, there is little current guidance to conduct this analysis within a mixed method case study to achieve the goal of describing and understanding cases. A case on professional development on Web 2.0 technologies for teachers of Spanish is used to exemplify a case-oriented merged analysis in a mixed methods research case study, illustrating a process that integrates selected quantitative outcome results with qualitative text data from multiple sources.
