Navigating the Curricular Maze: Examining the Complexities of Articulated Pathways for Transfer Students in Engineering

Sun, April 7, 11:50am to 1:20pm, Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel, Floor: Lower Concourse, Grand Centre

Abstract

States and institutions employ articulation agreements in an effort to streamline curricular pathways, and we investigate that streamlining in this paper. Applying Heileman et al.’s (2017) framework, we compare curricular complexities of transfer and traditional first-time-in-college pathways and link those curricular complexity metrics to graduation rates for each.
