In Event: 25.076 - WITHDRAWN: Collaborative Research on School University and Community Partnerships
For decades researchers have identified and discussed the problem of a “gap” between education research and practice. Research-practice partnerships (RPPs) may effectively reduce or eliminate this gap, as researchers and practitioners work together to address problems of practice. By design, these processes begin with the identification of a problem; however, a strengths-based approach has the potential to cultivate richer, more effective RPPs. We review the purposes of RPPs and outline the elements of a strengths-focused RPP. Throughout, we use one of our current RPPs, entering its fourth year, as an exemplar to profile a research process to build strengths-situated RPPs.
