This case study focuses on a peer support system created and facilitated by a high school student using Facebook™ as a major component. Data include four one-on-one interviews with the creator of the support system discussing her experiences throughout its facilitation, anonymous notes from students and Facebook™ posts. The study focuses on the benefits of a peer support group using Facebook™ and notes in a locker as anonymous mediums that supported Social Emotional Learning (SEL). This study identifies the benefits of this peer facilitated and governed support system for developing students’ SEL skills.
