Abstract

Portfolio evaluation is an evaluation of multiple projects with a common purpose in a common framework. With the data from 209 projects in a portfolio, this study illustrates how to answer the evaluation questions of “to which extent the elements of the logic model (strategies, activities, outputs, outcomes, and impacts) are reflected in the portfolio” and “what are the key paths from strategies to activities to outputs to outcomes and to impacts” via visualization techniques.
