Large-scale data sets often include a set of plausible values to decrease the burden of educational assessments, but using plausible values often requires sophisticated statistical and programmatic
understanding. This study will compare the current methods and software available for utilizing plausible values using the Programme for International Assessment of Adult Competencies (PIAAC) data. Results suggest that multiple methods may provide similar results, but users likely desire certain software options thanks to differences in information and usability.
