A Spatial Analysis of Community College Student Retention

Abstract

Local indicators of spatial association methods are used to identify clusters and outliers of student retention at community colleges. Results indicate there is spatial dependence and clear clustering within states which suggests socio-political factors may be the best predictors of retention clustering.
