Using Critical Race Theory and the application of CRT this paper will explore the philosophies of four Latino teachers regarding successful teaching in hopes of providing a valuable source of knowledge on the effective schooling. The project will examine effective teaching practices of Latino teachers. The project will look at individuals and the impact these individuals have on the kids in their classrooms. Out hope is to glean from the teaching perspectives and experiences narrated by these exemplary educators more about the task of successfully educating children within a societal context constantly changing yet consistently hostile to all things coded Black and/or Brown.
